The bears may hibernate five to seven months out of the year, but I wanted to create ways to celebrate them all year round. And a portion of every purchase will be donated to the Katmai Conservancy, to help ensure the future of these bears that have given me so much joy throughout the years.
Since I am new to selling my photography or art (or really selling anything for that matter), I am doing my best to learn about shipping, packaging, taxes, online payments and lots of other things new to me. So after a bit of research, I decided I would initially sell my products on Etsy, creating my Betsy Bear Creative Shop. For now, all items I have for sale are there. I may transition to online purchasing on this site or explore other options in the future, as I am always trying to find ways to cut fees and offer my products at at a more affordable price to my friends and fellow bear fans.
So for now, I will offer a bit more about my products than Etsy's space allows here, along with a small sample of what is currently available:
Prints
8"x10" photos printed on high quality archival photo paper with lustre coating to resist fingerprints and UV damage. These are some of my favorite photographs taken during my trips to Katmai during the summer in 2021 and 2022. They feature some of my favorite bears, including Otis, Holly, 747, 503 and many moms and cubs!

$24 per print includes shipping via USPS First Class Mail. While I may expand sales in the future, currently, sales are only available to US addresses.
Coasters
Start the day off right with your favorite bears to go along with your morning coffee or tea! Each 4"x4" ceramic coaster is handmade, using photos printed on metallic photo paper and coated in poured shiny resin, giving it depth and a glass-like sheen for durable and functional use. Durable, water resistant and stain resistant, each coaster has a cork backing to protect your furniture (coasters not dishwasher safe, but easily wiped clean with a damp cloth). Each set is packaged in varied themes, from lip fishers, to landscapes, to bear butts.
$50 for each set of 4 coasters includes priority USPS shipping to US locations.
Other Arts and Crafts
These are handmade project ideas inspired by the bears. Some have made it to my store and some are just prototypes of things that may be to come. Mixed media resin wall art pieces are created on wooden panels using layers of mica powders, ink, acrylics, and photos. Acrylic sphere Christmas ornaments feature a few of my favorite bears in a wintry scene. And small needle felted "pocket bears" fit in your pocket to keep you company and provide your day with a smile.
